The original hull mold we acquired was used to build a skiff for use in the Texas Water Safari, and provide a platform for testing and development. We wanted a boat that was light and could handle some extreme abuse. We cleaned up the original mold enough to lay up a kevlar/coremat/glass skiff that we outfitted with a sliding seat. We also positioned fixed seats to allow the father/son team to paddle or row and paddle. This skiff weighed approximately 70 lbs.
